Recycled PA46 pellets
PA46 (Polyamide 46)
PA46 features a highly‑symmetrical molecular‑chain structure with crystallinity up to 70 % and fast crystallization rate. Boasting a high melting point of 295 °C and long‑term service temperature up to 163 °C, it outperforms conventional polyamides such as PA6 and PA66 in heat resistance. It retains outstanding mechanical strength, rigidity and creep resistance at elevated temperatures, coupled with excellent wear resistance and self‑lubricity at low friction coefficient. It also delivers good flowability, chemical resistance and fatigue resistance. Although it still exhibits certain water‑absorption tendency, its well‑balanced properties enable superior performance under high‑temperature conditions.
Main Applications
Automotive industry: core applications cover heat‑resistant engine‑peripheral components including timing‑system chain guides, tensioners, electronic‑throttle actuators and EGR parts. It is also adopted for turbocharger hot‑air pipelines, sensor housings, connectors, alternator and starter components to achieve lightweight and enhanced durability via metal replacement.
Electrical & electronics: taking advantage of heat resistance (lead‑free‑soldering compatibility), high flowability and flame retardancy, PA46 is extensively used for SMD components, connectors, USB‑C interfaces, circuit‑breaker housings, coil bobbins and terminal blocks. Its high comparative‑tracking‑index (CTI) meets strict safety requirements for miniaturized electronic parts.
Mechanical & industrial components: by virtue of high strength, wear‑resistance and low friction coefficient, PA46 is processed into gears, bearings and bearing housings working under high‑torque & high‑temperature conditions. It is also widely applied in industrial parts for wind‑power turbines, agricultural machinery and railway equipment.
